Hotel Venue

The conference has arranged special rates for its participants with the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The Hyatt offers direct underground access to Place des arts (Performing Arts Centre), Old Montreal, Chinatown, the Palais des Congrès (Montreal Convention Centre) and the Metro transport system.

Other Hotels

More than 23,000 rooms are available in Montréal and about 12,000 are located downtown. The cost varies between $CA 60 and $CA 250 per night. Participants will have no difficulty to find an accommodation for a price ranging between $CA 100 and $CA 160. A non-exhaustive list of hotels includes:

Travel and Transportation

Montréal Pierre-Elliot Trudeau international airport (formerly Dorval airport) has daily direct flight connections with all major European and North American hubs and airports. Daily direct flight from London, Frankfurt, Paris, Zurich are available. Ground transportations between the airport and Montréal downtown are available at the cost of $CA 8 (bus) or $CA 38 (taxi, fixed rate). Greyhound and train transportations are also available, connecting Montréal to major North American cities. Off-season flights from Europe cost from $US 800 up to $US 1,500 round-trip and tourist class.

Participants' Budget

Direct flights to Montréal are available from main hubs worldwide with a round-trip between $US 800 up to $US 1,500. Hotel cost will range between $US 700 to $US 1,120. Excellent dining is available starting at $US 20. For example, l'Entrecôte Saint-Jacques at 394 St-Jacques Street West, offers excellent classic dinners, three course meals, for about $CA 25. Most hotels include breakfast in their room. Thus, a participant can expect to spend between $CA 200 and $CA 300 for food, excluding meals and coffee breaks during the conference. Hence, overall living expenses for an oversea's participant for one week in Montréal begins at $CA 2,000, including air transportation, but excluding conference registration.
