+Technology companies face a [[http://fortune.com/2014/08/29/how-tech-companies-compare-in-employee-diversity/|problem of diversity]] and they try to address it through various means, including encouraging students to embrace technologies, [[http://www.google.ca/diversity/for-the-future.html|no matter their background]]. Yet, this problem of diversity starts very early and [[http://www.computer.org/csdl/mags/co/2008/12/mco2008120104-abs.html|also exist in academia]]. We thus decided, with the support of Google and SAP in Montréal, to promote and celebrate diversity. Minority students, in particular female students, can apply for a Google/SAP Diversity Award to receive a free registration to SANER'15 and be invited to a visit to SAP Montreal Labs.
