Call for ERA papers

The 22nd edition of the the International Conference on Software Analysis, Evolution, and Reengineering (SANER’15) will feature a Doctoral Symposium. The Symposium gives PhD students a setting in which to present their work to experienced researchers outside of their normal work environment. The topics of interest for this track are the same as the main research track and concern all the topics in the research and practice of software analysis, evolution, and reengineering.

The main goal of the symposium is to give PhD students, and those who have finished their PhD within the last 2 years, feedback on their research direction, methods, etc. Students considering participation should have at a minimum chosen a dissertation topic and outlined their research proposal. Students who are more mature and are having difficulty making progress, should present their existing publication(s) and a plan to move forward. Researchers who have completed their PhD within the last 2 years should focus their submission on their research program for the next 5 years.

Students will present their work to a panel of experts.

Submissions

Submissions should be three pages long (including all text, references, appendices, and figures) and conform to the IEEE proceedings style (see http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html). PhD students with accepted papers will give a short presentation to a committee of experts.

How to submit

Submissions, not exceeding 3 pages, should be submitted electronically as PDF files via EasyChair at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=saner2015satelliteev by December 1st, 2014 AoE (abstracts are due one week earlier on November 24th, 2014 AoE).
